Application Guidelines

Application Method

1

Surface Preparation

Substrate must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove all dust, loose material, grease, and curing compounds. Concrete moisture <5%. Repair defects with compatible mortar.

2

Priming

For porous substrates, apply ProTek-Crete diluted 1:1 with water at 0.1-0.15 L/m². Allow to dry 2-4 hours. Non-porous surfaces generally do not require primer

3

Application

Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray. First and second coats both undiluted. Maintain wet film thickness 180µm per coat to achieve target DFT.

4

Curing & Protection

Protect from rain for minimum 6 hours at 20°C. Full cure achieved after 7 days. Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C substrate temperature.

Drying Timeline @ 20°C, 65% RH

Touch Dry 2 hours
Overcoat Time 6 hours
Rain Resistant 6 hours
Full Cure 7 days

Equipment & Cleaning

Airless Spray: Tip size 0.017-0.021", Pressure 150-180 bar
Roller: Medium pile 12-15mm polyamide or microfiber
Cleaning: Water immediately after use. Cured material requires mechanical removal
